Wednesday marks the beginning of Holy Week in San Cataldo. The mystery about Jesus Trial is staged in Piazza degli Eroi and is preceded by a procession with actors wearing sumptuous Roman costumes. When the trial finishes Jesus leaves the square and goes to the Calvary withe the Cross on his back.
6.30 pm - Departure of the procession from the Second Teaching Circle School in the direction of the War Memorial in Piazza degli Eroi.
8:00 pm - Re-enactment of the process of Jesus before Pontius Pilate with over 200 figures in the guise of commoners, handmaids, knights and legionaries.
9.00 pm - The three falls recall Jesus' path to Calvary. The procession runs along Corso Sicilia and ends near the Town Hall.
